Great game for strategy game addicts around. Fantastic graphics makes it even better!
Honestly, I am new to this Total War series. Pressure from my peers coupled with the curiosity of the mind made me purchase this game.
I can say the learning gradient is very steep for a newbie such as me. The camera controls is very fluid in a sense. Also, I had a hard time directing the troops around the battlefield, this shorthand greatly exploited by the AI.However, I may say that it has lovely graphics and is very realistic, which suits those realist fanatics such as myself.
To top that up, people who loves history-based games will fall in love with this game. However, in the game, it follows strictly what is written in the books too much, not much deviation from the written history. It did not dwell at once on a possibility of an alternate ending.
In aspect of managing, it is very comprehensive and diverse. Instead of sending off your troops to the battlefield, you must manage your cities and regions. Economic growth and recruitment is very important indeed. So, it contrasts Napoleon: Total War to a simple march-to-war-and-die game.
Overall, I can say that is game is worth spending on and that avid fans of Total War series will get carried away by its new sequel.
