Highly Frustrating

Painful and incredibly repetitive. This game is a nightmare of difficulty, due to the cheap factor of the computer AI and overall unfair-ness.

The Maps / stages / missions / are designed to trap you into a corner and take full advantage of any weakness by way of instant sabotage. The game basically forces you to replay events regardless of previous performance.

Ontop of that you will suffer through stages that are entirely too long with no saves in between. If you choose to play as one of the other 4 unlockable characters, you will be tortured with the same stages of only moderate changes. Futhermore, each character basically plays the same with minor statistical differences.

There are several unexpected boss battles that require a deep and precise strategic approach, otherwise you're guaranteed failures to the 9th degree.

The only way to make any progress is to grind through extremely long sessions of gameplay that you almost have to memorize and perfect to complete, least the game punish you by taking you all the way back to the beginning.

To add to the frustration, the player has to constantly manipulate the camrera, to prevent being "rush" attacked by enemies purposely hiding off screen.
Some enemies will spam attacks that cover a very wide area of your view, and others seem inescapable / unavoidable. Enemies will overwhelm you in mass number and build a wall blocking your movement completely. For instance, the game purposely places enemies that shoot fire and explode, directly in your path. When said enemies even touch you with fire the result is a massive drop in you HP!

The objectives seem to be very unclear and often confusing. With multiple paths , you could find your self running in circles. Strangely, the game tends to be designed so that the best strategy is always to outrun the enemy.

Sorely, the only thing really pleasing about the game are its visuals.
However, you can play online with a Co-op partner, but only on specific maps created for simply that purpose, which excludes the main story mode. Additionaly the online stages are a thousand times more difficult than offline, which should be enough to discourage anyone. Once again that XBL gold membership is a waste.

Dissapointingly, the soundtrack for the game is usually the same for each level.
N3 2 is very addictive, challenging and compelling game, if you can ever overcome its unforgiving nature, and repetitive process.

It's simply not a game to have fun with.
