Lengthiest seek-and-find available for DS

User Rating: 8.5 | Mystery Stories DS
It's just a seek-and-find, but the adventure is lengthy and it's fun. As compared to many other hidden object games, Mystery Stories mixes it up a bit rather than offering the same formula over and over again. For instance, sometimes you have find objects based on their sound. Sometimes you are given an image of the object (or its shadow) rather than the a word. Sometimes you are given one word/object at a time to find rather than a complete list. Sometimes the clues are more like riddles, etc. For me, the controls were responsive, and I had no real problems with clicking on objects and not having them register (unlike the previous reviewer, who may just need to recalibrate his/her system). I will admit the story is cheesy, but who plays a seek-and-find for a deep story and well-developed characters anyway? Personally, I think some of the cheesiness is intentional, and I approached it with that in mind (and therefore didn't mind it--and even found the over-the-top dialogue and more ridiculous plot twists funny at times). For those who enjoy seek-and-finds and who have a sense of humor, this is a worthy offering for the DS.
