Too much reading, too much walking, too much talking!

I love adventures. Uru: Ages beyond Myst was not an adventure, it was an ordeal. A frustrating, obscure mess with wholly non-intuitive puzzles and poor game controls.

I did not like this game anymore than eating Brussels sprouts but I finished it, every gruesome mouthful.

The story was fragmented and difficult to make sense of. I have no idea what was really happening or why. Puzzles were in some cases obscenely difficult, necessitating a walkthrough for completion. A few physics puzzles thrown in only highlighted the poor game controls. Third-person views were often shifted to first-person without warning.

The only plus were a few interesting environments but not worth enduring the game to see them.

Stay away from this one. Uru: Ages beyond Myst has an expansion pack but I just couldn't put myself through hell again...
