Step in the Right Direction, Look Forward to 2007
MVP 06 NCAA Baseball is a baseball simulator that focuses on the college baseball world and the College World Series in Omaha. It incorporates some new gameplay techniques and ideas that really make it more enjoyable.
The batting mode has been greatly improved form the old style of clicking the X BUTTON to swing to a "Load and Fire" system of using the analog stick. That aspect really improves the batting gameplay and incorporates a new style and more realistic baseball.
Several single player game modes such as Dynasty prove to make playing by yourself a good thing. Nothing is better than taking your team from the bottom, recruiting, and fighting you way to Omaha! Online mode is great and provides a beneficial mode to test your skills against players across the country, including tournaments.
Other great features include create-a-ballpark, which was long in the waiting for improvements, and found here. I always enjoy playing in a custom park with my own "Green Monster" or as I like to call it "Over the Monster."
The graphics are not bad and the gameplay is good. I recommend buying 2007 when it comes out on February 6, and I'm sure there will be new and better details in this one,
Overall good game, and the series should continue to look fruitful, if your looking to buy a fun, cheap game then this is definitely it for a baseball lover, or any gamer.
