Motorstorm Arctic Edge is a very good racing game on the PSP. Lots of vehicle types and varied tracks containing many alternative routes make for an excellent game. However, I found some elements frustrating :
1. Compared to the first MS game on the PS3, Arctic Edge does not explain very well the preferred types of surface type for each vehicle. I used the trucks in the muddy parts of the tracks only because i remembered this from the PS3 game. Arctic Edge does a very bad job explainig this stuff, even though it is central to the game.
2. your vehicle gets too easily unbalanced by opponents crashing into it, leading to lots of cheap fails. This can at times be infuriating.
3. Rubber banding system is difficult to understand and at times feels unfair. I often found myself boosting at full speed, only to be taken over by 3-4 AI vehicles running way faster than me for no good reason.
Anyway, even with these flaws, this game is a lot of fun and recommended.
