Good game for Moto Gp and motorbike fans, but slightly misses the mark.

Here we go again.

How come before i even played this game i was wishing and waiting and wanting and praying that this game was going to be good.

Is it good??

Well it is good, my opinon anyway. But its not great. To start with the graphics have improved greatly since the last game, but i was terribly disappointed with the sound. How come all the GP bikes sound the same. Yamaha sound like a Ducati?? Come on Capcom you couldnt even tweak the sound which for me... is a important aspect of any motor racing game let alone How passionate people are about bikes.

The research in career mode to the bikes i must say is a great touch, i really enjoy working on the bike. But i would like more options of career. I mean really in a career mode and you cant race a full GP or half Gp race... Shocking only 3 laps a race.

I did hear before playing this game that it was going to be more like arcade racing. Ok...

My first impressions on hearing this were, acrade game.. maybe like Super hang on?
I mean that was a great arcade game. I was disappointed that they were not going to make a bike simulation.

I remember the Moto GP games on the PS2 was it Max Biagi on the front cover followed by then a early Valentino Rossi. They were great games, too much power on the throttle and it would kick you off, too much braking in the corner and it would fold beneath you. Touch the grass and you were off.

Yes some said its too hard, but wakey wakey, this is a highly tuned race bike, the pinicle of motorcycle racing...

So they dub it down and make it arcadey. The arcade mode is ok, but to find a career mode with research and hiring staff. Why not have both modes Simulation in career and Arcade for yes arcade.

But to find clean gates in the career mode, Career Mode which is what i would imagine to be the serious side of racing?? Not keeping clean sections and hearing a voice say. "CLEAN SECTION" !!!!

To be fair, im finding the clean gates and racing trying not to bump into others in order to build my reputation to a grade A is making me a better racer. So i take that back.

All in all its a good game. But another thing i cant forgive is that in previous titles you could spin the back wheel up in corners when giving it to much throttle. This made you feather the accelorator and be brave pushing for more speed.
I found myself, turning all the assists off, making the springs and dampers rock solid to give me more of a simulation bike. (sigh) sadly i still am finding that the bike still dosent act how i would like, or thought a GP bike would handle

Online, i've yet to really explore. It has mics ( bluetooth ) so at least you can talk as you race which i moaned about in the last game.
And you can set the amount of laps you race, plus online, you all get a vote to which track and weather to race on next which i think is far better.

For me, its a good game. Im enjoying working on my 125 bike and then taking my bike online and ooooo omg you can customize your bike and leather's colours.
Which maybe becasue im a girl, but love designning my bike and making it look nice for online racing.

Im looking forward to advacing to 250s and then becoming champion of the top class.

I would say if you are a Moto-Gp fan get the game. Its good, give it at least an hour before you cast it to one side.

If you like Bikes and want a bike game i would say at least Hire this game.

I for one will be keeping it, and i will be turning the arcade music off the racing lines off and will be in the online lobbys with my bike looking to race other top hardened riders with respect on the track..

Please please, lets hope that there will be ps3 updates even improve the online game further. I would for one love to be able to race against the real life standings of the Moto Gp season. Another nice touch, would be to make a online racing team with friends. Much like clans, or clan names?? So many ideas left here.

As we have been told there is downloads and updates to come with this game, I for one have my Fingers crossed.

See ya online...
