If only I still had my GEN!
First I played countless quarters at the arcade, yes folks, the ARCADE. I remember the excitment when someone I didn't know came up and popped in a quarter and the duel was about to begin...I was pretty young then so I usually got my ass handed to me, but those were great times. Subzero usually came through for me in the end.
Sure there was the gore and the contraversy...but this was so refreshing, something nobody had ever seen before...and then it came to the console.
It took many store trips to convince my parents to let me have this game and it was all worth it, quickly my brother never wanted to play videogames with me again as I could dispose of him in minutes.
The sounds were AWESOME, the graphics were nothing we had ever seen before, the conept through the roof...my only regrets is that the MK series died out. It had an amazing storyline, what a game.
