What happened to the fatalities?

User Rating: 7 | Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe PS3
Who would've ever thought Mortal Kombat would go against the DC Universe? Well it happened. Did you ever wonder who could kill Superman? Mortal Kombat characters can. The amount of characters may be limited but still it's reasonable. The story mode for both sides tell the same story but look different. One thing that's common in the story is the rage. Have you ever wanted to see Superman look constipated, rage can make that happen. But if u did want to see Superman looking constipated, you have issues. The combat styles for every character are great. You can use rage while fighting. Did u ever want to see Superman's body parts ripped off? It doesn't happen in this game. The fatalities in this game aren't gross or brutal at all. The Mortal Kombat characters and DC villains have fatalities, and the DC heroes have heroic brutalities. Heroic brutalities don't kill your opponent, they just torture them. This can't be a solid Mortal Kombat game because Fatalities made Mortal Kombat what it is today. The game modes in the game are arcade, story mode, kombat challenge, practice and that's it. Don't bother playing kombat challenge, it's frustrating, unless you want trophies. It's just a bunch of button pressing to do a combo, but you'll try and fain. And you can also play online which works well. I had fun playing this game, but it feels stripped of many things. Fans of Mortal Kombat or DC Universe, rent it first, you might like it, but don't buy it first. Mortal Kombat fans, you probably will be disappointed.
