Shaolin Monks marks a great entry into the series.
The game allows you to play as Lu-Kang or his brother Kung Lao, as you fight your way through stages seen in all of the mortal kombat games, pulling all sorts of special attacks such as Lu-Kangs fire ball attack and whatnot, the combat is fun, and it stays fun start to finish. Levels also have spike pits and other enviromental hazzards for you to uppercut or inpail your foes into.
Gameplay: The game's co-op blessing is also a downer at times. While the game is co-op and while the game can be played on singleplayer. It feels like the game forces you to play in CO-OP to get the most of the game. But it's still a solid action game with or without a friend next to you. By playing through the game you can unlock new fatalitys and other moves to use also. Theres also stage weapons like axes that can be used to dice people in half with and to be used in combo's which adds some more depth to the game. Alot of your old school favourite characters return also such as Kano and Sub-Zero. So the game gives alot of fan service.
Graphics: While nothing new, they do the part for the most, giving the look of the MK Universe justice, with it's grtty and bloody fighting, and level designs. Overall the graphics are good, but not groundbreaking.
I Really Like this game. Its Fun But Mainly to MK Fans. I really dont see that much wrong with it. and theirs a ton of stuff to unlock. even MK II witch does add to the replay value. Its your Choice to Get this Game. But MK Fans really will get a Buzz out of this game.(Like myself) i still find my self coming back to this game. most days. :) The sound Dead on though Gives you that classic MK Feel! Its Just a Plane fun Game. and again MK fans will really Get a Good Solid Buzz out of this one But maby Not Many other ppl will though.
