When I first got this game I thought it would be a fighting game, then I was dissapointed to find out it was a 2D adventure game. That being said it is also surprisingly a good one. This game shed a little more light on the already vague Mortal Kombat Universe. The story begins with Sub-Zero stealing a scroll for a sorcerer and it has some twists and turns as you go deeper into the game. The gameplay itself was a wierd mix of sub zero's moves from the fighting games and some new ones. The game is really hard and requires patience as you keep trying to go to the next level. The boss fights were really fun and creative and you get to see some very interesting characters as you go through the game. The controls take some time to get used to and are sometimes the cause of your death early on in the game when your still getting used to it. Since you have to press a button to turn left or right it can become frustrating especially in really intense situations. The game included some really cool full motion videos and featured some pretty decent acting and great custumes/make up. They really did look like their game counterparts. The sound was also a mix of sounds from the games and some new ones. The password saves were easily the most annoying part of the game. Overall I know this game is hated by many Mortal Kombat Fans but I really had fun with this game and I recommend that every Mortal Kombat fan should at least rent it first.
