Mortal Kombat 4 is a very good translation from 2D to 3D.

User Rating: 7 | Mortal Kombat 4 PC

Mortal Kombat 4 is one of the video games that I played during my childhood. I remember when I was like 7 or 8 when I played this game on the computer and I have played this game ever since. However, 22 years after this game was released, it's apparent that this game hasn't aged well.

Mortal Kombat 4 is the first game in the Mortal Kombat franchise that makes the transition from 2D and 3D. The graphics are fine, but they haven't age well. Later games in the series make the 3D graphics better looking. The gameplay is fantastic and very fun. It retains the classic 2D gameplay and it is so fast. It could take days and months of training to be a master in this game.

The story, which sees Shinnok beginning his invasion in Earthrealm and Raiden gathering the Earthrrealm warriors to stop him, is actually decent, though a bit underdeveloped. The OST is great and it has some of the best music in the Mortal Kombat franchise. This game has some of the best fatalities ever in the franchise.

Overall, this game is a great addition to the Mortal Kombat series and if you're a Mortal Kombat fan, you'll probably enjoy this one. I'll give it a 7.5 out of 10.
