I am a fan of the monster rancher series, and this game is pretty similar to the other games. The good points are similar to the other games in the series. The bad points are very noticeable. The graphics are sub standard, some of the monsters are a garbled mess and pretty ugly. One of the biggest down falls of the game is trying to complete it. The game pits you against ridiculously hard monsters. To give you an idea of how evil the challenge is, your monster has 6 stats that range from 1-999. Even though your max is 999 you fight monsters with stats well over 1,000. This makes the game overly challenging and it goes beyond the line of enjoyable and becomes vile chore. If you enjoyed the other games, you will enjoy this game and it will most certainly give you a challenge if you go for the end. If you want to just mill about the game and enjoy raising monsters, you will have a good time doing it.
