Grossly Underappreciated.

I'm really confused by this game. How can a game that has such a fresh gaming idea behind it , a unique style, and at times, really fun......fall flat on it's face. Basically, despite so many things in Monster Madness' favor, it's basically broken. Too hard, too much sloppy control, a broken save system, and an overall frustrating experience. Ashamed, since it has the makings of a great game. But it just doesn't have the execution, just the frustration. You would hope that the ideas behind this game are given another chance, but this time, they have the gameplay to go with it.

  To call this game "retro", is to insult those of us who played those real retro games in the 80s and 90s.
