Me - "Please CAPCOM can I have some more?" CAPCOM - "More? MORE? ... Sure here is MHFU"
On a more serious note: the game is the English world's version of Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G from Japan and is an update of Monster Hunter Freedom 2 and with all that said it is still AWESOME as it lets you bring over all of your stuff from MHF2 although some of the stats of the items and equipment have changed to balance the game for the new quests and HR9 level gear. Instead of Elder (Low) Rank and G-Rank quests and monsters, a swap has occurred, the old G-Rank has become High Rank and the new G-Rank is now really, really hard. In MHF2 I could own a Silver Rathalos in 7-10 mins now im lucky if I can get away with 25 mins (I don't have the best gear yet so thats why ... mostly).
Also, you get a new Felyne companion that you can take on quests and depending on it's type and the skills you teach it, it can be a real help especially when you run out of shock traps and need to capture something, just unlock and teach it the shock trap skill and hopefully your furious friend is smart enough to bail you out so you can hear that sweet Final Fantasy VII battle victory song ... WOW I mean that epic "I just finished a quest and i'm waiting 30 seconds to get paid" song.
PS: The person or people from Gamespot who rated this and all Monster Hunter Games should be slapped because they obviously do not know how to play this game properly. Always consult the peer reviews ... like this one and the other MOMOMOMONSTER-KILL level reviews ... to get a proper evaluation of a game. One thing I did notice is that some reviews say THIS versions language is in Japanese ... it is NOT in Japanese it is in ENGLISH some sounds might be but all text is ENGLISH.
Thanks for reading this review, I, like many Monster Hunting others, hope you join our ranks.
