One of the best board games in modern history. You can't go wrong with monopoly.

Monopoly is a game that requires tactic skills and an eye for buisness. You might have played at least one of the versions (personally, I have played the Norwegian version, The EU version and the American version). There is no diference except from the design of the board, what kind of money there is and what the street is named.

So basically, when making this game on the n64, they had the conscept of the game. All they had to do was add some design and some gameplay.

The design was great. The cannon, ship, money bag, shoe and all the others looks cool, and in a funny way. It looks far more 3D than you could expect. However the gameplay isn't as good. It is a confusing system with how you trade and mortage and stuff like that, which could have been done better.

Something that bugs me is that sometimes it takes a long time to move to a place, especially in a chance card tells you to go to a place. You want go, directly there, but go all around the board one step at a time, up to more than 30 steps.

However, still. A great game, you can play a standard game, short game or timed game. They are all great, and this is a great multiplayer game, but still a game you might enjoy if you are just competing against the computers.

It is not much music in the game, but the music there is, really fits monopoly well, so that is a plus. Over-all the game designer has done a fair, but not good job in transfering a great board game into a n64 title.
