This is one of the best MLB licensed video game franchises to date

User Rating: 9.5 | MLB Power Pros 2008 WII
Though not much has changed from the original MLB Power Pros that came to the states in October, 2007. The MLB Power Pros franchise is still the best for the Wii, and possibly every system. I love this game, and could recommend it to the casual game because of its easy accessibility, and could recommend it to the hardcore gamer because of its insane amount of depth. The day this game got released, I went to pick it up, and I'll always remember it because I had a horrible migraine that day, and I still went to go to pick up my pre-ordered game, MLB Power Pros 2008. I was counting down the days until it came out, and was so excited the night before, I only got 5 or 6 hours of sleep.

Gameplay: This game plays just like the first, great. It runs smooth, no glitches well except like the runner going through the first baseman or something. Other then that, excellent.

Music/sound: The music is pretty good, though you hardly notice it/the sound effects are superb, but Jack Merluzzi's commentating is a little bad, although it's bearable.

Game Modes: There is Success Mode, Season Mode, MLB Life, Homerun, Exhibition, Wii Remote, Arrange, My Data, Options, League, and Practice
Success Mode: In this mode you play as a AA player for the Green Apples, and it is your dream to make it to the majors. You, and your friend Marvin, must travel through many comedic adventures, on your way to the majors. This years success mode is a lot harder than last years, and if do anything but practice everyday (well at least for me) you probably won't make it to the majors, or even AAA.
Season Mode: This is my 2nd personal favorite mode, behind MLB Life. In this mode you take the role of a rookie GM, of any team, who doesn't know anything about baseball. You can set the lineups, the pitching rotation, and then play the games. You can make trades, go into the draft, resign players, and also do a lot more.
MLB Life: In this mode you take on the life of a Major League, either made, or real. You can bring in Success mode characters, custom make people for MLB Life, or choose an already Major League, Major Leaguer. You can get married, buy cars, buy houses, buy items to help you get better, play games (only offence though, and only with your guy) be traded, become a free agent, have kids, name your kids, get lots of fans, donate to charity, play in the minors if you're not doing so well, win awards, meet new agents, and (if your great) make it into the hall of fame.
Homerun: The homerun derby, not that fun.
Exhibition: Play a game with any team, against any other team.
Wii Remote: Play using the Wii remote, it only replaces a button though, and it's just exhibition mode.
Arrange: Make your own team, and then use them in Season mode, or an exhibition game.
My Data: You can edit players, input passwords, change profiles etc.
Options: Change game options.
League: Start up a league with friends. Very fun.
and
Practice: Practice your skills.

Pros: Fun, perferct difficulty, easy to pick-up and play, cute graphics, and very deep
Cons: Jack Merluzzi's commentating is pretty annoying

This game is one of the best on the Wii, I love it. And as I said before, I could recommend it to anyone, so well, I would recommend it.
