Aside from a couple of nagging issues, this is one of the best baseball sims you will play

Graphics seem like it is using the PS2 to its full potential. Player models, animations, and stadiums are done extremely well. The frame rate rarely, if ever, drops.

THe basic gameplay is simple, yet done very well. It is extremely responsive, and it makes it so that anyone can pick it up and play it, but it can be tweeked so that even veterens of the game will have a challange.

Probably the best part of this game though is the extreme depth of the game. Ranging from single games, to an entire franchise mode, where you control everyu single aspect of the baseball team of your choice, including playing each and every game of the entire franchise (if you are, in fact, willing to put that much time in). The cutomization is nearly endless. Also, the inclusion of the Eyetoy to scan your face in when creating a player is an interesting feature.

There are only a couple of issues with this game. First off, the loading times can be somewhat lenghy. It is not too bad, but it does get apparent after a while. The only other problem is that it takes A LOT of memory. For example, to save a single career, its about 2500 kbs. This can get annoying, especially if you want a carrerr, a season, and a franchise, but want to keep all of your other saved games too. Of course this is only a problem for people who only have the basic 8mb memory card.
