GO GO POWER RANGERS, indeed!!

User Rating: 8.5 | Mighty Morphin Power Rangers SNES
I first saw this game at my cousins' house; they were playing this just for fun or probably just because I was a little kid and they knew I loved the television show. In any case, I enjoyed it when they were playing the game, because it did look fun. So, I finally buy the game for myself in 2001 or 2002.

Story: 7/10
- The storyline is all right. If you have seen the television show, then you will not be lost. The game is about 5 teenagers combating and stopping a villain named Rita, and her minions from conquering the Earth.

Gameplay: 9/10
- I loved the simple gameplay! Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is a 2D platformer/beat-'em-up. The player starts each level un-morphed, defeating waves of Putties until the player reaches the halfway point, at which point the character morphs, fighting through the remainder of the level that way until reaching the boss. The player can also use a special attack while morphed. The final 2 levels are Megazord battles. The player can replay the Megazord battles with 2 players by entering certain passwords.

Graphics: 9/10
- The graphics are great. I love how everything is neatly colored. Everything looks clean!

Sound: 9/10
- The sound effects of the game are good, but kind of strange on certain situations in the game; like when you destroy an object and it explodes, instead of sounding like "BOOM!" it is like you will hear a sound of a deep voice saying "YES!". That is very weird! The music is great! I love all the music for each stage, especially the theme music from the television show.

Overall, I give this game an 8 1/2 out of 10. I just really enjoy playing this game because it is very easy, which makes it very comfortable to play! Also, my favorite Power Ranger is the red one, Jason! I like the red one because, red is my favorite color, and because he is the leader. I also like the black Power Ranger, Zack (I do not understand why they misspelled his name to "Zach"). He is my second favorite because he is a "brotha". So, I thought it was pretty cool how they made a black man, simply a black Power Ranger. What I do not understand is: why did they make Billy (blue Power Ranger) look chunky on this game, compared to the TV series? Billy was really skinny on TV, if I remember right. They made Billy look like some sort of a "fat nerdy white kid". Also, why did they make Billy cover his head whenever he punched, making him look like a sissy? Whatever the case, watching Billy in this game will surely make you laugh! I do not know, but I think they had no respect for the real actor of Billy in the TV series whatsoever.
