Same system, polished appearance.

The game is what it is... and always has been. You may notice a few minor changes here and there, but all in all.. it's the same thing.

It's pretty, yes, and it's been built with more up to date tools. I wont knock it because I loved this game as a kid. However, given the fact that games have evolved over the years, this is a let down comparable to Koei's Dynasty Warrior's series.. They seem to fear being innovative enough to mix things up. It's just something I grew out of a long time ago and can't go back to.. I'd honestly rather play Shogun 2. It has a better feel to it..

All in all it's using a visually polished system from the stone ages and, while it may have been fun back then, even the combat is drab. I simply set it to auto resolve and go from there.

Only get this game if you're one of those people that are just THAT dedicated to the series.
