A nice improvement over "Midnight Club II".
Rockstar San Diego even added a real soundtrack to their game. Instead of the instrumental rock/techno musical tracks, there are actual songs in the game. A good variety too, about on par with "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas". In fact, the game is the GTA: SA of arcade racers. You can race online and create racing maps of your own once you're done with the main game itself (which will take over 20 hours). The race types will be familiar to anyone who's ever played a racing game. But the real fun is buying your rides and pimping them up to suit your personal style. SUVs, bikes and choppers are represented here along with the usual sports cars and tuners. The racing hasn't changed much from MC II, but the customization and vehicles make it more fun than the "Underground" games.
