A brilliant street racing game. The gameplay is so addictive!

Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition Remix is the 'updated' version of the original Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition. Having played the original, I can say that this Remix is a whole lot better. What's great is the additions to the game. But the game still stays true to the old school Midnight Club style of gameplay, where you have to drive from checkpoint to checkpoint, eventually leading you to the finishing line.

Like many racing games, there is literally no storyline AT ALL. Basically, you're a new racer who wants to make it big in the street racing world. You'll start off in San Diego, where you'll be challenged by racers from different racing clubs. Once you beat these racers in a series of races, you'll be invited to compete in tournaments hosted by the club that racer was from. However, the clubs here are different - some clubs only allow you to use tuners, while others only let you race with muscle cars. If you race in these club events, you can even learn new powers. This part of the game is rather stupid, but it helps a lot with the races. You can learn how to slow down time, smash through cars, and other really bizarre abilities. Yes, it's really weird.
After San Diego, you move on to Atlanta, and after that, Detroit. After you beat all the racers in a specific city, you can venture off to a new one.

In terms of the racing gameplay, Midnight Club 3 Remix is pretty much the same as many of the other Midnight Club games. It's open street racing, and that's a whole lot more difficult than most games we've seen. There's a very high chance that you'll crash into civilian cars or buildings. Another thing is, once you get far enough into the game, you can land some really fast cars, which drive at incredible speeds, making it really hard to dodge all these random obstacles.

My biggest complaint is the Autocross tracks. In the game, there are tournaments that come up around the place from time to time, allowing you to win a sweet ride. Autocross is a type of tournament where you must drive around in a racing track and beat the time. These tracks are so terrible. If you're a noob, and new to this game, you'll hate these tracks. I'm a noob and I found these tracks way to narrow. You'll have to drive really slowly to avoid crashing into something. But that's probably my problem as I am a noob...

My favourite feature of the game was Tokyo. This wasn't in the original game, and it's such a terrific addition. In Tokyo, you'll be able to win a whole lot of cars when you compete in club events. Like in the career mode, you'll have to use the specific type of vehicle for that event. To enter these events, you have to race in Tokyo street races, which can be found all over the city. If you win a lot of these races, sooner or later, an event will pop up in the city.

The graphics are really impressive, and the game features a suitable soundtrack. The creation of the cities of the game is really impressive - Tokyo looks absolutely beautiful.

Overall, I had a lot of fun with this game. Finishing it is difficult, as the racing here is hard. However, once you get the hang of the gameplay, it becomes a whole lot easier. It's a sublime racing game - one of the best if you ask me.
