If there is any question to what your main task is during this game, here's the answer: you're going to be killing some orks! You'll be killing orks in your main missions, your side missions, your quests! You'll be killing orks on your right, on your left, down below, and up on high. You'll be killing orks at night, during the day, when it's raining, and when it's sunny. Did I mention that you kill orks in this game? Okay, sometimes you kill other zombie-like things... and animal-like things. But mostly, you be killing orks.
And, you're going to love every minute of it.
You'll obtain different powers and fighting skills that makes the slaughter different and continuously fun. Poor orks. However, they do have their moments and even when you become pretty much all powerful, you can't let your guard down. They can swarm faster than killer bees on a hot day in Texas.
The story is pretty cool, but thin. I didn't read the novels so finding out about Celebrimbor (the ring maker) was new and interesting for me. I could use more. That's okay because it takes place between "The Hobbit" and the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy. Who doesn't know that story already? There's a long time between those two epics so hopefully there will be sequels that flush out a better, deeper and independent story. I will certainly be interested in revisiting Mordor and kill some of those dirty, ugly orks!
