So Satisfying!!!

User Rating: 10 | Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor PS4

In the age where every other next-gen(especially PS4) game is a multi-player shooter or online only shoot fest, hack-n-slashes are hard to come by. After the awful disappointing unplayable constantly being logged out release of Destiny and it's horrendous error bugs like lion, bee, caterpillar, etc, I desired a non-online non-shooter, hack-n-slash adventure with a interesting story to go along with it. S.O.M has been on my radar for sometime now but I was still skeptical it was going to be worth spending my hard earned money on.

Well, I took the leap and made the purchase after reading some good reviews from numerous sources. As you start off on your journey in Mordor, you will notice the extremely detailed superbly polished environment. It's obvious no corner's were crossed here. From character animations to cut-scenes, everything is "Nex-Gen" looking and beyond with fine detailed resolution.

The game-play is surprisingly better than expected. It's deep, fun and most important SO SATISFYING!! It just never gets old. I can't Stealth Kill enough enemies. It feels like every kill weather stealth or not is unique. Capturing a Caragor is fun in itself let alone controlling it. Another satisfying element from the game. This aint Assassins Creed where you ride a boring horse that does nothing but take you from A to B. The Caragor can even climb walls, attack enemies as you control it, bite enemies etc.

Lets face it, "side missions" usually suck and are boring to death. Not here. The side missions feel like main missons, that's how great the productionvalue is here.

What also makes this game unique is the Captain Enemy Killing System. Basically, if you get your butt kicked by a Captain, he gets promoted in the Sauron Army and will meet you in the future even more powerful. And all these enemy character have unique cleverly put responses to you. The voice acting is state of the art along with the writing. It's all here and executed perfectly, Gameplay, Storytelling, Visuals, Pacing, Cut-Scenes and Adventures. Look no further. I haven't wrote a review in along time, but I just had to login here and write one in honor to the production value Monolith has laboriously put into this title.

The StoryTelling is captivating and perfectly executed. Warner Bros/ Monolith have a HUGE SLEEPER HIT on their hands here. I can go on for pages raving about this GEM of a Game. DO NOT HESITATE, BUY THIS GAME TODAY, you will NOT be dissapointed.
