Microsoft could have released FSX with this performance/graphics and had a successful sim. Bad decision all around.

User Rating: 1 | Microsoft Flight PC
The previous installments of Microsoft's Flight Sim series included this little place called planet Earth. They also included a dozen or more planes and helicopters all various shapes and sizes. You paid about $50 for this and along with mods could keep busy for years, as we literally have. There are still people playing MS2004 modded and enjoying it.

So with such previous success why would Microsoft choose the route of free 2 play (previously called a DEMO) and paid DLC? Not just paid, but expensive as heck.

With the Flight DEMO (calling it what it is) you get one island in Hawaii and a few missions mostly consisting of landing somewhere for some strange reason. You also get 2 planes with the DEMO. You have the option of buying the entire island for $20, and other planes for $7-$15 EACH. Oh yea, you need the $15 plane for missions on the island DLC.....just sayin.

Word has it a Japanese Zero is available as well now, but there is no cockpit even though it is not in the description. Huh? Verify for yourself, I'm not buying it.

All in all this game is getting a bottom of the barrel score because it is simply a baffling decision by Microsoft to take this route and to make it so expensive. Not to mention the game is simply not up to par with previous installments and what made them such a staple on the PC. Shame on you Microsoft.
