Use the power of music and dancing to save the world.

I confess! I get a big grin on my face whenever I see this in an arcade.

It made perfect sense for Sega to bring out a game dedicated to the music legend in 1990. Michael Jackson still holds some pretty staggering records for sales around the world. Having introduced his own film and ride at Disney, it seemed natural for the next step to include joining the world of video games.

The plotline has you rescue your friend by fighting your way past the henchmen of those who kidnapped her. No guns or knives involved, nothing very graphic: you just wheel on them with dance moves, arm thrusts and other simple self-defense manouevres. With sufficient power, you can use a beam of light from the sky to stun your opponents.

The graphics are perhaps a step down by current standards, and player movement is a little slow, making it a tad too easy to get surrounded by enemies in certain battle scenes, but this game more than makes up for its flaws with fun and originality.
