Metroid Prime Hunters is a great first person shooter on the DS that follows up the great series.

User Rating: 8 | Metroid Prime: Hunters DS
Metroid Prime Hunters is almost a spin off game from the original series, having nothing to do with the orginal Prime story this game follows Samus into a world where she encounters other hunters like herself and a lost civilization that needs to be saved. A basic story fuels the great gameplay of this shooter, unlike the games in other prime series this game is actually a first person shooter, like Call of Duty. The great controls the DS offers put this new formula into a sleek quick pace action game. Samus will travel between 4 planets trying to gather the octuliths to uncover the alien that the civilization sealed away, and during her hunt Samus encounter many other hunters along the away and turns into a race for the keys. This game introduced 5 different beam ammo that's fun to use and the missile is still there however they took out the homing capabilities. The graphics on this game is probably top-notched for the DS, but unfortunately its still not that good. The sounds are tad bit irritating to me, the music just doesn't sound very nice and the arm cannon sounds like its shooting fireballs other than energy beams. All and all Metroid Prime Hunters is a great game on the DS and a good side quest for the great Metroid Prime series. Although its not as good as its GC counterparts this game is definitely worth looking into for any first person shooter or Metroid Prime series fans.
