My first review at gamespot: Metro last light
Story is the main element that kept hooked me in this game. Its post apocalyptic russia where humans live in underground metro lines. There are many factions who fight each other and some other "creatures". Without spoiling I can say it will make you feel alone, happy, scared and a little bored. But all in all its a great one nonetheless.
It looks great in terms of post apocalyptic environment but technically its not a looker. There are some visual hiccups but its tolerable. All in all a decent effort. Environment are creepy and it can become more scary if you use a headset. It reminded me about resistance 3.
There are some interesting characters but what impressed me is the "little one". Paranormal and psychological horror are properly presented. Two very strange elements that are cooked and presented with great effort.
Its also good in its gameplay department. U can choose to sneak and go away for most of the times without killing anyone but I choose to kill them all approach. Both works fine.
Despite some poor presentation and visuals blunders its a great game. It is the swan song of THQ. My verdict is 8.2 / 10.
PS: I dont know but I think there are some experiences in this game makes me to give one more point for this game. Oh well. Artyom and the little one this is for you. (8.2 + 1) or 9.2 / 10.
