A heart pounding, breath-taking story. Worth taking the time to play.

There are so many positives to be said about this game and really no negatives to be said. Metro 2033 is a first person shooter, and gives you the ability to change the difficulty. Its a hard game even on medium, so if you have trouble playing games, don't fear because you can play it on easy. It not only has a good story, plot, and concept, but it has beautiful graphics, even on the lowest setting possible. First of all, this game doesn't have multiplayer or co-op, which is an utter disappointment, but its really not needed when you have a great campaign. Metro 2033 has a very intriguing story. Its sad, suspenseful, scary, funny, and creative...the game itself is worth playing because of that. You play as a young, brave man named, Artyom whom is orphaned. I'm not going to give any of the story away, that's all i'm going to say. But what I do want to say, is I read the book (what the game is based off of) and let me tell you, this game is almost spot on with the book, so if you read the book, then play this game! Although I do wan't to state, the games ending isn't the same because it is all based off of how you play, and the choices you make in that game through out the story, whether its a good outcome, or a bad outcome. Its highly realistic in that aspect. Now lets get to the graphics. The game takes place in a post apocalyptic world, so you can pretty much assume what the environment and your surroundings look like. You'd picture a post apocalyptic world being ugly and ruined, which it is...BUT the graphics, scenery, and surroundings make up for it. The developers did such a great job at making a run-down, destroyed world look so beautiful and peaceful. If you are someone who loves a good story line, awesome characters, and enjoys a lovely campaign, then this truly is the game for you to play. Even though the main character Artyom is silent, you grow on that amazing man. The sequel to this game is to be released fairly soon, and let me tell you, after playing and beating the first one, I am SO excited for the new one.
