This stand-alone expansion pack of Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops is a great buy. While it lacks the story mode of its predecessor, the lack of said story mode allows newbies to focus on actually playing the game. Then, after you get used to playing the game, you can try harder difficulties to get new, more advanced soldiers, or you can take your current squad online for a variety of game modes. And if this wasn't already enough, Kojima Studios includes the AP scan once again, which allows players to search for Wi-Fi access points (hence, AP) to recruit new soldiers. Plus, it only cost $20 dollars! Now, I probably sound like a walking endorsement for Konami and Kojima, but seriously, go to your local Blockbuster, and rent this game. If you like it, I highly suggest buying it. However, since it is only 20 bucks, you probably understand that it is somewhat shorter than past Metal Gears, and veterans of the first Portable Ops might not find that enough is new to buy the game, but for all you Metal Gear newbies, and pretty much everyone else, TRY THIS GAME!!!
