It's really not like a normal mgs game as theres no story and it's all about multiplayer. But the multiplayer is amazing

I'm quite surprised that i haven't already reviewed this game as as soon as i had even heard it was coming out i was counting down the days until it was released and i rushed to gamestation with my £15. when you first play it, it has a very impressive feel to it in just the first minute or so before you start doing any gameplay, you have the choice of loading any saved data you may have from MGS PO so that you can carry your squad over. This is what i did as in my squad that i built up on MGS PO i had characters like Null, Gene, Python and one of my favourite characters from MGS3 (and now mgs4) Eva. you'll probably start off by going onto Infinity mission first of all and forced to go on to the ever so easy, easy mode. It takes you about 5 minutes to complete how ever it's quite good as in the first few levels Campbell explains what you have to do. The point of the infinity mission is to make your squad better for online mode so that you win more matches. Doing this also allows you to unlock some characters for example old snake, raiden and Roy Cambell. and although they are quite fun to unlock there's nothing too special about them as they all play pretty much the same way. They bring some fairly good weapons but that's about it. So like i was saying after you complete easy you then play through Normal difficulty, which is still quite easy, then hard which is where it starts to get quite hard and then extreme which is hard and has quite a lot of levels which you must do to complete it. The infinity mission though is based around NO STORY what so ever and is really just getting from point A to Point B and capturing soldiers and collecting items as you go. there are also a few special missions every so often where you have challenges like: Eliminate all enemies or If you are seen you fail these are sometimes ok however annoying as if you are near the end of extreme and you get :If you are seen you fail which is probably the hardest special mission it will be very frustrating if you are seen. At the end of each playthrough you also have a sort of boss against some of the tengu soldiers from MGS2. oh yeah that's another thing in this game you can capture classic soldiers sucha as genome soldiers, tengu soldiers, and actually you can capture all the differant types of soldiers you had in the plant episode of MGS2 i think. The gameplay and the graphics have not been changed from MGS PO.

The online mode isn whrere you then take your trained soldiers and it is very good, not loads of change from the original mgs po however a bit, for example the capture mission is differant as you now have to capture the frog and keep it with youn in a small red box for the chiosen time so you now can't just win by running away from other players. There are also 2 new modes, shooting range where there are two teams and the team to shoot the most frog like things win, this is quite a bit of fun. There is also now a chat room where you can just do what you like in a chosen area. Finally on multiplayer there are also new areas such as the Rex hanger from the classic Metel Gear Solid on playstation 1.
