Well i was really excited that this is a new MGS game ! (with a new twist) , im not disappointed totally , but really it was not that good . main story (mission) was like 1 hour and 40 min for me so i would call it a "foreword" of what is probably to come , but its kojima ! the brain behind the late MGS games so , i think it was clever to release a "Demo" like game (i know the are 5 or 6 other missions there - which are nothing but time consuming game plays) to get feedback and maybe clear what is not to be like (in the original one) , Ok lets get into a bit of detail "

Story : well , it has not much of it the game starts from where the peace walker left the bag! i guess but not much is revealed only things are your "mother base" is destroyed by some PMC like Soldiers and that "PAZ" is going to die!!!!! and that's that
Graphics, Sound & Animations : i really enjoyed the "Fox engine" capabilities but i guess its not mature enough cuz it didnt look that good on my copy of the game (PS3) , textures were bad imo but hopefully with no surprise here modeling was good , really good in fact from characters to lands , vehicles and DOGS! all models where awesome ,Sound design was really good to me i liked it a lot , animations were top notch too imo
Game play :With every new MGS came a new thing , with this one, its no alter new mechanics are good enough but i really wanted more animation (like MGS4) especially with CQC but who am i to complain!
the Good thing is with all that changes made its still a MGS and it will (fingers X) evolve in the right direction , and the con is it was not that much of MGS series and is more like splinter cell (which i dont like) , but lets sit back and see till "The Phantom Pain" comes.
in one of the other missions there are two guys you have to kill one is "finger"and the other is "eye" , i interrogated them before killing them and they said : "there is a phantom coming!" and "are you a phantom too"! mysterious isnt it? anyway i would give it 6.4 out of 10 but since there is no such rating in "G" 7 is to go and finally do not buy it , rent it or at least go digital download unless you are a long time fan (i have physical Disc).... cheers :)
UPDATE:
after some time with this game (demo) in addition to my above statement , i have to say this demo is so so so addictive that for now i have played (only) the main mission for more than 20 times , on NORMAL i finished the game with A rank in 30 minutes (1 alert 1 retry) and on HARD with A rank on 42 minutes (1 alert 3 retry) - Both sneaky stealth ! :) its really a good game worth playing what makes the engine stand out is the Lightening (returns!) Effects :) though i must say , last MGS games were graphically some how superior to this at some point of view but non (Non game at all except LAnoir with that super face motions - kind of) get close to photo realism this much i have huge expectations of T(he)P(hantom)P(ain) - i think its going to be the BEST MGS EVER , we'll wait and see :) 8)
