Bad storytelling aside, this is my second favorite Metal Gear game in the saga!

After beating The Phantom Pain, I decided to go beat other Metal Gear games. MGS4 was one of them. Metal Gear Solid 4 takes place in a war-torn area in the Middle East in 2014. You are Solid Snake and the mission is simple. Kill Liquid Ocelot and stop his insurrection.

Metal Gear Solid 4 has quite a lot of great aspects. The controls are impressive, the visuals still hold up for an 8 year old title, the movie length cutscenes have some of the most hype and hilarious moments in a Metal Gear game and it has an amazing soundtrack to boot. I have heard people complaining about its lengthy cutscenes, but i actually enjoyed it. It's like watching a blockbuster movie. Full of intense action serquences with the odd feels moment or comedic line. It was amazing! In this game, you get access to a lot of weapons to use at your disposal. You can buy all of these weapons in the Drebin Store with Drebin Points you can get in-between chapters. This can provide you with a wealthy arsenal of weapons to use to take down enemies and boss fights with relative ease.

One bad aspect about this game is the story. Now imma be brutally honest with you. MGS4's story has got to be some of the most shittiest storytelling in the whole saga. Like the story behind it is just a mess. Another little flaw with the game is the Beauty and the Beast Corp. These villains are probably the worst and most forgettable villains in the series. Yes, even more than the Skulls in MGSV. The basic premise of the BnB Corp is that they are a group of women who came from war-torn countries, bad shit happened to them and Snake "cleansed their soul" or something. They serve absolutely no purpose to the game whatsoever other than fanservice.

Otherwise, this is my second favorite Metal Gear game in the whole saga and one of the most greatest experiences that I have had in a video game ever. Kojima Productions and the team had outdone themselves with this game. Definitely one of the greatest PS3 games i've played!
