Throughout the entire play through of both Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2, there we tons of references to "Big Boss" and many other things that players were not familiar with. For years we tried to figure out the roots of this epic storyline. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, is a beautiful, amazing game that provides a great playing experience as well as a great explanation.

Gamers take on the role of Big Boss, Solid Snake's biological father and an intense soldier. This game takes place many years before the first two, so players must remember that the events from past games are yet to take place within the storyline. Technically, Solid Snake, nor any of his brothers, exist yet.

The objective is simple. Russian rocket scientist Nikolai Stephanovich Sokolov is the mastermind behind the Shagohod, a new deadly nuclear weapon that will eventually turn into what we know as Metal Gear. Sokolov has been captured by Colonel Volgin and is being forced to finish developing the Shagohod so Volgin and his crew can use it in a devastating manner. Big Boss, codename "Naked Snake", a member of FOX Unit, is sent in to rescue Sokolov.

Being this IS a Metal Gear Solid game, you can assure that this objective will not be as easy as it sounds. Throughout the entire play through, gamers can expect insane plot twists, unexpected events, and everything else previous Metal Gear Solid games have offered.
