A fine MGS game with a shocking twist that will lure some in and drive others away...

Though there is a MGS3, this is the true prelude to MGS4. As Solid Snake, you are no longer working for the CIA, but you and your commander Otacon are now part of Philanthropy, a group dedicated to destroying the Metal Gear technology. If the technology is used, it can build tanks of mass destruction.

The first mission has you diving onto a tanker to investigate the presence of Metal Gear technology. There, many sides converge, including the Russians and the US government. Snake runs into foes old and new, but that is only half the battle.

On board you will have to face down countless elite soldiers. The AI reacts excellently. Aim your gun at his head, and the soldier will probably surrender. If he doesn't, a shot in the foot should set him straight.

There are a few problems here though. The camera is less-than-perfect, at times providing a horrible view of the action, and the graphics aren't that great, but they're not atrocious either. Not a pixleated mess though. It's definitely a must-play, and it's real cheap nowadays.
