Raiden wins me over.

User Rating: 9 | Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance X360
Raiden assumes control of his own destiny in a game I can safely say I was waiting for since I saw a video of him slicing a watermelon with his sword. The game has a fairly simple premise and includes itself into the MGS series very fluidly.

The Concept - 7/10
Raiden enters the battlefield armed with his signature high frequency blade and a team of justice seeking entrepreneurs. Along the way he learns that a company armed with just as much tech as the military is trying to shake the war economy from the ground up by unspeakable means.

The Characters - 8/10
Raiden is the lone wolf while having a codec blast relevant factoids and mission briefs in his ear from a Freud-like doctors, laid back black guy, and busty but smart blonde. All lead by a Russian boss who says nothing necessary but encouraging, none the less.

The Music - 6/10
After cutting and slashing at enemies, a rock ballad enters with no-names from different parts of the world. While it may get you pumped, it only takes one replay to feel like you are in a level in Dynasty Warriors.

The Goodies - 9/10
You slow time to slice an enemy into as many pieces as you like. You customize weapons with currency used from those people you shred. A good handful of unlockables to satisfy any completionist. (Like myself.)

Bottom Line - It is a tad short, but it fills the itching questions you may have had about our silver-haired anti-hero. There are references, secrets, and several other moments that keep you drawn in until the very end.
