Great turn-based strategy game, with great artwork, great music, and great replay value.. what else would you ask for?!

User Rating: 9 | Metal Gear Acid 2 PSP
This is not your average Metal Gear game. This time, you play with numerous cards, each having different abilities with different costs. You need to choose the best card to utilize in your turn. For doing this, you'll need a big deal of forethought and a little bit of sacrifice. And that what makes MGA:2 an excellent turn-based strategy game.

In short, the gameplay have you, Snake, play against some guards or robots. The main mission is usually just reaching the exit. Along the way, you choose either to sneak or to kill. And that holds a great deal of strategy. In your turn, you can play a couple of cards or more, either moving or shooting or even placing traps on the ground. Once you finish your turn, the AI will play theirs. They may get close, or get far, shoot, or just stand still. This brings up new choices and expectations of what would happen next. On the EASY setting, the game is fairly easy to beat; it could even be particularly easy for some advanced gamers. I haven't tried the NORMAL setting.

Once you finish a mission, you can choose to play extra side-missions which are considerably more tough.

The graphics are amazing, utilizing a digital technology known as Cell-shaded Graphics. That makes the characters and stuff have a prominent 'comic-like' appearance. The cards in themselves are spectacular pieces of art. Each is detailed and highly descriptive. Even the menus is a joy to look at and navigate; all in yellow with black icons and black location buildings. Very elegant.

The music is fast-paced, full of synthetic effects and giving a true sense of suspense.

THINGS TO BE AWARE OF BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO BUY THIS GAME!!

1. This game requires you to INDULGE yourself into the game. You need to be patient and loyal to the game in order to really enjoy it.
2. At first, you may notice that some card descriptions seem non-understandable as well as some menu items (especially DECK EDITOR) . Try to experiment and as you progress in the game, you'll find most things out.
3. The game uses the O button as the OK choice, and X as Cancel. Might be confusing for some, especially at first.
4. The game does NOT autosave your progress. So you have to save before you quit the game.

IS THIS GAME FOR ME?

If you're a patient gamer who likes turn-based strategy games and is up to a challenge, this game is for you.

I'm giving it 9 because of the lack of autosaving, and because the camera has to zoom in during shooting which I dislike (subjective opinion).
