Metal Arms:GitS is an ignored 3rd person shooter in almost everywhere, a really good 3rd person shooter.

User Rating: 8.5 | Metal Arms: Glitch in the System GC
Metal Arms: Glitch in the System is highly addictive and is worth buying even if it's your first shooter. Glitch is a robot in the droid race who got discovered unconcious during a war between the droids enemies, the mil bots. After being restored to full memory and health he is sent off into droid mines to fight with the rebellion and to destroy General Corrosive: the mil's top general. The story may seem straight forward but later some plot elements come into play and you find out several things the mils are doing to insure all of the droids die. One thing that people may find about the game immediately is that the game is very challenging. Metal arms is a game that even on the second level you'll have immediate trouble on and may turn a few gamers down. As for control metal arms plays like a 1st person shooter. Straff with the anolog stick, turn with the c stick so you learn quickly how to move. You are allowed to hold 2 weapons at a time, one has to be a gun (around 10 types and all but one can be upgraded) and the other has to be type of grenade (5 types and sniper scope) so even controling what weapons you use by changing and firing is easy. My personal favorite weapon is the rivet gun: a gun which fires fast sharp arrows and later becomes an explosive weapon. One thing which it needed work on was the jumping system you could jump and double jump but it is difficult to jump on a specific platform with the camera and jumping physics. There are 3 vehichles in the game. The hovercraft is as small vehicle which has a claw to move around enemies and an unlimited machine gun. Your standard tank with a machine gun and canon (great for destroying titans) and my favorite the R.A.T. The Rat is an off-terrain vehichle which has two seats for a driver and another for an unlimited machine gun (there are a few levels which are rat organized) As far as graphics go, Metal Arms isn't amazing. The textures and explosions are well done but there are a few details with basic shapes and watching when glitch move which are slightly twitchy. Also everyonce in a while there are some slowdowns in the game in a high action sequencewhere it may slowdown with out the sound or control coming with; however that is rare, quick, and doesn't ruin the game to much. Like I said the sound doesn't slowdown with the game. In fact sound is realistic down to the character voices, to the variety, to the fantastic soundtrack, though the sounds arn't exactly too realistic and could do a slight change to make it better. The talking in the game is very well voice acted with actors a few people may recognize. I'm not sure but I think the character Mozer's voice is from the guy who did Krunk in the Emporers new Grove. People may look at the back and wonder how could this game have "Strong Language" in this type of game and still be a T. There is a fare amount of swearing in Metal Arms with only two characters. One of them just says stuff like "what the h***" and minor swear words but there is one character who says almost every swear word there is in every sentence. Although the s and f words are bleeped out there arn't done to well so take strong language siriously. But down to what most gamers want; this game is really fun and addicting that you'll want to play it several time even if you beat everything. But if you didn't find the game hard enough you can change it to different difficulties. There's easy, normal, hard, and... nuts of steel. The difficulties only change the A.I. of the enemies so at nuts of steel, you actually get quite impressed. Also a side quest is in Metal Arms where you collect secret chips which when you collect enough you open new multiplayer levels. The game is not perfect with glitches but so far I can only find 2 parts where something was messed up which is surprisingly good for a shooter. You should definently try Metal Arms if you like shooters, and you can take the swearing. There are many more things I havn't covered like morbots, zombiebots, the other characters so if you want to find out what exactly this humorus game has in store for you go out to a game store and get it even though you may not find it because of its popularity.
