3rd person shooters are a dime a dozen these days, so its easy to see why Metal Arms has been widely over looked, but in this case it is a real shame as Metal Arms is far and away the best third person shooter of 2003, and for action fans, probably game of the year overall. The action is fast, explosive but well thought out at the same time, Glitch, the main character, has a multitude of ways to dispatch his enemies, you’ll develop your own favourite methods, be it ripping enemies to shreds with projectile cutting discs or taking the stealthy approach and taking control of your enemy and reigning havoc from the relative safety of someone else’s body. I’m going to keep this short and sweet, Metal Arms has it all, and it’s a crying shame that the series won’t get a sequel in the foreseeable future due to poor sales. It doesn’t matter what you are looking to play, buy Metal Arms, you won’t regret it.
