An awesome Megaman game but it can be a frustrating for some.

User Rating: 8 | Mega Man ZX Advent DS
Megaman ZX Advent is a challenging Megaman game with plenty of depth and action and long time fan who have erged for a true side scrolling action sequel will definetly be happy with the game, however the game's massive challenge it self can be put it in a boundary between difficult and frustrating.

You get play as either Grey, a reploid who is obliviouse to his own orgins, and Ashe a bounty hunter who seeks to mark a spot in history. Both have encoutered Prometheuse and Pandora and were rescued by bountry hunters, in order to repay them they decided to assist the bounty hunters in a few missions, the first mission involved transporting a highly secret package to Trinity HQ, however during the trip they were attacked by mavericks and had once again faced Pandora and Prometheuse who were seeking that secret package, however to their luck the package was a biometal under the name of Biometal Model A and they happened to be its chosen Megaman, after fending off their assailants Grey/Ashe decided to keep Model A while continue taking missions for the hunters, as Model A might be the key they need to unravel their fogged past.

The game shares the same graphics as the previouse game and there will be some anime cut scenes in certain points of the story so everything looks great, like the last game instead of selecting stages like in the classic games you will navigate in an open world and will enter stages in that manner, this time though each location will have warp points which you can activate using E-crystals, these warp points will allow you to instantly teleport to those locations using transport servers.
Also an issue with the last game was that the map was very unspecific and you can get lost in many points, ZX Advent features a more detailed map at the bottom screen which can be viewed in 2 ways, so getting lost is no longer an issue, the game is also making use of the stylus but only for navigational and costumizational porpuses, you won't be using the stylus during combat.
Like in the last game you will be using biometal megamerge and transform into a megaman, Model A has a standard buster (for Grey its large charge shot while Ashe has a thin charge shot that reflect on walls) a dash function and wall jump, what Model A can also use is an ability called A-Trans which basically allows you to transform into a boss you have defeated and inherit some of their abilities, Ash and Grey will inherit SOME abilities that eachother don't have, Model A will explain the functions of each transformation and what they can be used for but there are also hidden skills that Model A won't tell so you will have to experiment a bit.

As for the sound department the game features awesome music that also have nostalgic feel to them, so fans will definetly love the game for its music.
Voice casts were added to the game so you will hear characters speak for the first time in decades, however the voice actors aren't really that good and also the voices were directly programmed with the text which can make converstations seem very odd, sometimes an entire sentence won't finish in a single box, everytime the box stops the voice stops exactly after that, making the characters sound like they are some help desk computers so they most probably used computers apps to voice the characters which is not very good, you might preffer it if it was muted.

Megaman ZX Advent is a great sequel and has plenty of content any megaman fan would enjoy, however some stages need quick reaction and precision as there are traps that can be hard to avoid for the first time, and you won't find a lot of life items around stages so you will find yourself returning to your last save point a lot, not to mention bosses can be difficult without knowing their patterns, all these can make the game a frustrating experience due to having to always start all over from the begning all the time, also the game's story is quite cheesy and characters are very forgetable, not to mention the voice acting was terribly done and can ruin the story quality for most.

Megaman ZX Advent is something I would recommend for skilled Megaman players, new comers will find the challenges very frustrating.
