A decent game to play but not worth buying.

Game Review-Gameboy Color-Mega Man Xtreme II

Review 77

Released: October 30, 2001
Developer: Capcom
Game Genre: 2D Platformer

Opening Thoughts:
Released near the end of the Gameboy Color’s life as a handheld console, Mega Man Xtreme II was just a game to keep those who could not yet afford a Gameboy Advance busy.

Story
Better than the first game, the storyline carries more throughout the game. This time, Reploids have suddenly started to erase. Known as the “Erasure”, they are turning into Mavericks that X and Zero (the two heroes) have already defeated. You can control either X or Zero in two different storylines.

Gameplay
Average gameplay, less awkward than the first game. Like all 2D platformers, Mega Man Xtreme II consists of running through levels, shooting at enemies. At the end of each level is a boss.

Graphics
Even for the GBC, more is expected, especially nearing the end of the GBC’s lifespan. Other games have proven that good graphical qualities can be possible on the GBC (think Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal and Dragon Warrior Monsters 2).

Improvements
Previous Game: Megaman Xtreme No improvements other than the different storyline.

Final Thoughts:
A decent game to play but not worth buying.
