Don't fix what's not broke...

i hear so much crap about the mega man series that oh the gameplay is still from the 80s and whatnot. like my title says, don't fix what ain't broke, or you end up with games like today's sonic or megaman x7. this game stay traditionally to the style of this series. capcom did the perfect thing that i think they should do to all platform games, make them side-scrolling 3d. sure ratchet and clank and jak and also mario are great, but then you have crash bandicoot and sonic which are not done well in 3d. anyways, i'm a huge megaman fan, and x7 was so impossible, i gave up on it. this game however, is excellent. it controls and feels perfect. i like to use x because it's more of a challenge because he has the weakest weapon, plus i've been more accustomed to x for years. when your as good at manuvering as i am, then you can play with the worst characters. some of the level designs are lame, but some are awesome, such as the one with the rotating rooms. the characters are done well, the graphics are excellent, and the soundtrack is superb, definately living up to the series' expectations. sure the game might not have much depth, however you can upgrade yourself and use different navigators to help you out with certain things, like hidden places or whatnot. simple games can be some of the best games on the market, however megaman is not completely simple. is has really nice anime to go along with the story and atleast the voice acting is better than last year. this game lived up to my expectations, it's definately worth a try.
