Great graphics. Awesome 2D scrolling adaptation to 3D. It would have been an awesome game, if it wasn't too damn

It's sad to say this, but it has been a few years since we had a really good Megaman X series installment. I'm a huge fan, and played through every game since Snes's Megaman X till nowadays.

The last good one I remember was Megaman X4 on the PSone.
Oh boy, that was quite a game indeed...

It had cool anime story, introduced new graphics to the series, it had two different story lines playing as Megaman or Zero, nice music, awesome bosses, but above all of this, it were REALLY challenging.

When I picked Megaman X8, i had a little hope inside that this one could've save the series, but it has the same decease of the last installments of the serie: lack of challenge.

The main problem is the duo system, introduced recently in the series. Okay, it's really cool to solve puzzle by switching characters in the middle of a stage, having zero to jump to places Megaman can't, or Axel to plane to somewhere, but having virtually 2 full life bars to spent during a stage, or during a boss fight, from the beggining of the game, makes it a kid's play.

That being said, there's few to save this game from disaster.

What gets me perplexed is how the X series has come to this point, as Zero series in GBA is going so great!

If you're a fan of the series, well, you'll be disapointed...
If not, just skip this game and grab yourself a copy of Megaman Zero instead.

And Let's hope that X9 will be the game that we're waiting for.

PS.: Sorry for being that harsh on you guys, Capcom, but common, I know that you guys can deliver us some serious challeging Megaman X title. And bring ROCK and METAL back into the blue guy game, will ya??
