Gameplay: The same great gameplay is here. Once again, you jump, you shoot, you dash, and you wall kick, just like the other MMX games. Like Mega Man X4, you choose to play as either X or Zero. However, when you play as X in the beginning, you actually use X's Force Armor from MMX4. But that's not all. You can now choose between the two in the beginning of every stage, plus X's original form. Once you beat a stage, you get the boss's special weapon, as well as a ranking of how good you did in the stage. Oh, and did I mention the Training Mode included in the Title Screen? This is a practice stage that teaches players the basics of the game, in case there are players new to the series. Nothing has changed in this game, and the gameplay is still at its best.
Graphics: Great 2D graphics in every way. The sprites animate wonderfully, and the backgrounds are amazing.
Sound: X's girl voice has been fixed in this game, which makes the sound perfect.
Value: Well, all I can say here is great replay value for MM fans.
Tilt: Overall, Mega Man X5 is another outstanding MM game. Another must-own to Mega Man fans and platformer fans
