MegaMan X at his finest.
Graphics for it's time were very bright and colorfull and stayed true to the 2d MegaMan, a very nice step from the super nintendo and still had a great MegaMan look to it. Even though this was the day and age of new 3d games comming out X4 still was nice to look at showing the power of the playstation with 2d models.
The music was good, still had the same beats that would give you the MegaMan X feeling, kinda like a techno background music type thing which fit well with the game. The sound to the game was still true to the MegaMan series nothing that would wow you but still gets the job done.
The gameplay is where its at this game has some nice MegaMan action in it. Even though its run from one side to the other of the level and shoot everything in your way it was still very fun, that is if you are a MegaMan fan. Others may find this gameplay shallow and boring and not very fun or interesting, but for a MegaMan fan like myself its just plain fun.
Cut scenes have been added to MegaMan X4 which are pretty good, minus the voice acting. Yeah the voice acting is pretty bad, X sounds like a young boy and General in the game his voice really dosen't sit well with me. Sigma and Zero i find there voices tent to match the best, but for everyone else its a hit or miss.
My final thoughts, this game is a must get for any Megaman fan, but people that arn't in to the series or never really tried it before this game probably isn't for you. This game could be good to get you started into the MegaMan X games but like i said these games are a love it or hate it there really isnt much of a in between.
