Mega Man X

The first few Mega Man games were great, but this one took it to a whole new level

Having played most of the Mega Man games for the NES and Gameboy, I was eager to get the first installment of the game for the SNES. Sadly, this was the last MegaMan game that I ever bought, but it sure is a good one. This game took everything that MegaMan was and could be and put it into one game.

You start as a regular old MegaMan with the usual quest to defeat about 8 bosses. But spread out randomly are health bonuses, armor bonuses and other such upgrades, that sometimes you need to go back and redo a level to get. If you defeat some bosses, it could affect another level. Such as defeating the Ice level before the Fire level, it makes the fire level.....not so firey. Afterwards you have to do a few more boss levels in order to beat the game, but they are just as fun and challenging. Though I didn't continue with the series, this is the best Mega Man game I ever played and I really really enjoyed it.
