A great advance from the Battle Network series with lots of combos for you to try out.

Mega Man Star force: Pegasus is an action RPG game but it is really different from other Mega Man games, it only will make you remember of the Battle Network series, so if you liked those games, you will surely like this.

Story: The story's main character is Geo Stelar(you may change his name in the start)who is a lonely boy that lost his father in a space accident and doesn't go to school ever since..In a certain day he goes watch the stars in a place called Vista Point, where an alien called Omega-Xis appears. After some strange happenings, they both "pulse in" to a world made of waves only, but when they go, their body becomes one, and they call themselves "Mega Man". The story gets better as you go on and is a positive point of the game. There's also an post-game story, which makes the game last more than 20 hours.Of course,if you like collecting, you'll still use up a lot more time with the game.

Graphics: The graphics outside of battle are just like the Battle Network graphics, and this could be a bad thing for some, but to me it's great. If you don't care for this, like me, then this is not a big problem.
The graphics inside battles are 3D and are really better than in the Battle Network ones. The battles work fine with it and you will probably like it.

Sound: The music is great and catchy, and are an improvement from BN,even if you don't notice it.There are more songs than there used to be,so that makes the whole experience better.

Gameplay: Now, this is a great part of this game and the best improvement from the BN series. There are 5 lines with 3 squares in each line. You watch everything from Mega Man's back and you can move only in one line, differently from the BN games. The enemies can move in the other squares, but each of them has a different way of moving just like in BN.

In battles you use battle cards that became weapons for you to use like swords, cannons, bombs and other stuff. You can lock on enemies by pressing Down on D-pad, and then when you attack Mega Man will move next to the enemy and use the attack, this is something that didn't exist in BN series and helps a lot when using some attacks that aren't long ranged.

Now, how do you choose which battle cards to use? Well, before battle you can manage your cards through a folder in the menu and in battle they will appear on the touch screen, then you choose the ones you want to use, between six of them, but there are some rules when choosing then that are explained to you right at the start, only being able to pick card from the same column or line,or card that are the same(like, two Swords). Some cards have different types that may be Fire, Water, Grass and Electric. This is useful because a fire card does double damage in a grass enemy and just like that with the other types.

Now the a great thing in battles is creating different combos. You may use an attack that makes your opponent get trapped by a bubble. Then you use an electric attack and cause double damage. This is just the simple type of combo, when you use certain attacks in a certain order, a guy called Master Shin will, somehow, talk to you and say that you created a Personal Combo. Then you may create cards (called "Legend Force Cards") from the combos you created, and then if you use them in battle you will do the complete combo in your enemy. There are lots of combos to do, so this is a good point of the game, even if you can only have one Legend card(you can change it,though).

Multiplayer: This games uses Wi-fi only for registering friends. You can trade cards or battle but only by local wireless which is a bit disappointing.I never cared that much, though.

Well, Mega Man Star Force: Pegasus is a great game if you liked Mega Man Battle Network games, if you like Mega Man or if you just like a game with a good story and good battle gameplay.Of course the good story part may depend on how you feel about the game, but you should definitely try it if you are a Mega Man fan.
