Many sites give the Mega Man Star Force games bad reviews, but this series is highly underrated!

The average critic score for Mega Man Star Force is 5.9, and I disagree with this entirely! Many people dislike the Star Force series, but they deserve to be more highly appreciated!

The game starts out with a lonely and sad Elementary school student named Geo Stelar who lost his father in a space shuttle accident a few years ago. But one day, Geo finds a being from outer space named Omega-Xis who works together with Geo to fight off incoming alien life forms in exchange for information about what happened to his father!

The combat of this system is very similar to Mega Man Battle Network (which is a reason why this game gets bad reviews) except you fight in a over-the-shoulder-view where you can only move left and right to dodge attacks. You use what is now called the Card Force System (which are basically the Battle Chips of Star Force) to use attacks and defeat enemies. You can go in the pause menu to equip your deck with the cards you want to use in battle and they will randomly appear in your deck during battle.

The soundtrack in this game is decent, but not amazing. You can tell that some songs in the game are variations of songs that were in Battle Network, but overall the soundtrack of this game is good enough that you will feel no need to turn the sound off and listen to your iPod instead.

The graphics in this game are, according to the critics, "graphics that would look good on the GBA." Well, the graphics of Mega Man Star Force are colorful, although sometimes blurry, and do not look as bad as some sites say they do. The graphics are decent and do not have a negative effect on the game, and are overall okay.

There are many side missions in this game that will take several more hours of play to complete, and this game can also be played locally and on Wi-Fi with registered friends. You can use a system in this game called a Brotherband which can enhance your stats in the game and have some of your friends pernamently registered in this game, making it much easier to find each other online.

Pros and Cons:
+ Many may disagree, but it has a good plot
+ Has a battle system similar to its predecessing series
+ Brotherband system is a nice touch
-Graphics are somewhat blurry
- You can have a maximum of only three brothers aside from your in-game friends
