It's just awesome. Capcom perfected the balance of chips, gameplay, crosses and Navi Customizer. It'll keep you forever!

I seriously think Gamespot doesn't play the other games enough if they can write a review such as this one. The bosses are just right, not overly annoying/hard to get their chips as in MMBN5, the chips themselves are revamped and each has a good usage, the cross system is finally WORTH IT, the beast out system makes a lot of sense, the counter and full synchro is easier to get and more worthwhile (especially compared to BN5, where by the second or third level of viruses, the second you got full synchro you were likely to be hit)...
I could go on forever. But first I should elaborate a bit, shouldn't I?

The basics of battling... your chips. All the chips in the game were reworked, their damages altered for the better, their advances made all the more useful, the weaknesses of each type are easier to target with sufficient, useful chips of each element, and it's just overall fun to experiment with everything.

The Crosses. Replacing the Soul Union system of the previous games (which was more... annoying... than useful most of the time), the crosses are simple, easy to use, well designed and each brings its own flair to a battle. The charge shots of each are now actually rather useful, and being able to stay in each soul for as long as you can avoid it's weakness is a good addition (rather than waste NC space on soul turn +1s)

The beast out system brings a lot of power to a navi, and even has it's drawbacks to prevent it from being completely powerful. For one, no charge shots, and the auto aim is both a blessing and a curse, as sometimes an enemy Navi or virus will move out of the way just as you auto target them. The three turn limit before becoming tired is understandable, and the beast over is indeed a trump card in the truest sense of the word.

Anyone can pick up this game and enjoy it, and beating the game is really only finishing near to half of it. There are tons of things to do after beating the game, almost as much as there was for Battle Network 3, which had the most content in my opinion. If you pick up this game, prepare to spend long hours just trying to find every little secret about it, and enjoy every minute of it.
