Yes, it is better than MBN4, and the Liberation Missions are a bonus, but it's just not as good as MBN2&3.

User Rating: 7.3 | Mega Man Battle Network 5: Team Protoman GBA
With new features like the Liberation missions and Chaos Unison, this game is a lot better than Megaman Battle Network 4. However, there are too many typos, the plot is getting old, and Capcom is running out of ideas. Like the previous games, the story is again about an evil genius determined to conquer/destroy the world/cyberworld. In my opinion, the new navis are getting... weird (Larkman and Gridman???). Last of all, the game doesn't even get close to hard until after you beat the game, where you finally get to unlock the upgraded viruses. Other than that, the game is pretty good. The new souls are fun to play with, the Liberation Missions are great, and the new viruses and chips are even better. However, despite the new innovations, sometimes the classics are the best. Capcom, you can do much better than this...
